My gravi thoughts reminded me of a Yami no Matsuei rant I thought about but never got around to writing. And since I'm here... ::shrugs::

Anyway, in general fandom opinion of Tsuzuki v. Muraki v. Hisoka really annoys me. Well, mostly the fandom opinion of Hisoka. (My love for Hisoka is enough to even rival my love for Shuichi) There was a whole huge long annoted rant in response to this in my head, but the gist of it is this:

Once upon a time there were three beautiful boys with comparably craptacular childhoods. One of them became a suicidal manic depressive. One of them became a psychotic rapist serial killer. And the last one became (drumroll) ...bitchy. Which one of these three is the stronger person?

SO STOP CALLING HISOKA A PUNK KID PLZKTHX. BECAUSE HE'S NOT. K?

Christ. Hisoka is the most mature, well-adjusted person *in* Yami no Matsuei.

THANK you. I definitely view Hisoka as, if not the dominant one in his and Tsuzuki's relationship, then definitely the one that holds the glue together. For having had such a shitty life, he's definitely gone down the path that makes him better equipped to handle life. Plus he's smart, rational, and doesn't let his emotions rule him. Tsuzuki and Muraki have tried, but they've fallen apart - Hisoka hasn't, and probably never will.

Dude, AMEN. I get so tired of people beating on Hisoka or dismissing him because he's spoiled and self-centered and a brat. People, please. He's 18 (I think) in the Kyoto Arc, and he's so much more aware and strong and brave than anyone else is.

I mean, yeah, he's not perfect. He is short-tempered and cranky and he does yell at Tsuzuki. But it's so obviously not meant to be truely hurtful, and Tsuzuki himself never takes real offense at it, that I don't why people hold it against Hisoka as some horrible thing that he shouldn't be forgiven for.

And I get just as annoyed at the people who claim to like him, but treat him treat like a particularly emotional five-year-old girl, but that's a whole 'nother issue.

*looks horrified* There are people who don't love Hisoka? But he's perfect. I love him especially for the bitchy, the brave and yelling at Tsuzuki when somebody needs to do just that.
