Arthur gasps and strains against the bedsheets twined about his wrists.

Merlin leans forward, whispering words of power into Arthur's ear, and the sheets twist til they hold him tighter still.

"Merlin," Arthur pants.

Merlin wraps an arm around Arthur's waist. "It's okay," he says. He presses against Arthur's back, bending their bodies until Arthur has to drop his head, limp, onto Merlin's shoulder to balance his own weight.

Arthur shudders as Merlin kisses his neck and slides a finger inside of him. Merlin soothes him with his free hand, rubbing gently up and down his side, avoiding the still tender bruises left behind that day by those who meant to kill him. To steal him away where Merlin could not follow.

Merlin's kisses turn hard, biting.

Arthur squeezes his eyes closed, choking the noises that build in his throat.

"It's okay," Merlin repeats, then twists his finger. Arthur cries out despite himself. Merlin does it again.

Slowly, Merlin withdraws his hand, runs his tongue along the line of Arthur's jaw. He grasps Arthur's cock and strokes.

"Lean on me, Arthur," Merlin murmurs into the sweat of his skin. He thrusts inside. "I have the strength to hold you up."
